Blood Orchard Brewing Co. LLC
Biography & Highlights
South Broadway gets pretty weird once you drop past the south side traffic, and that is where Blood Orchard sits. It is a working brewery that happens to host loud local acts out on the concrete floor among the fermenters. You won't find a fancy marquee out front. Just a low-slung industrial building with gravel in the lot and garage doors cracked open when the weather cooperates.
Inside, it smells like spent grain and floor cleaner. The stage isn't really a stage at all, just a corner where they stack pallets and drag in a couple of PA cabs. Sound bounces right off the metal tanks, so don't expect pristine acoustics. You're getting heavy bass rattling your teeth and vocals bouncing off the stainless steel while you hold a pint of whatever dark stout they just brewed.
Crowd is a mix of neighborhood regulars, metalheads, and stray folks who wandered in off the highway. Bartenders move fast even when the line at the bar gets stupid. There's no coat check, no VIP lounge, just concrete floors and loud amps pushing heavy noise into the Wichita night air.
